Job Description

Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Line Feeder (3rd Shift) for our LuK USA facility in Wooster, OH to report to the Production Supervisor.  This position is responsible for producing components that exceed customer requirements and expectations.

Key duties include but not limited to:
  • Responsible for improving operations in the department and consistency of part presentation
  • Needs to have the ability to look up materials for location and quantity in SAP and able to book material from one storage area to a Production Supply Area (PSA) and vice versa
  • Needs to physically verify the accuracy of the inventory at the segment, as well as within the SAP System
  • Will be critical to follow up on inventory inaccuracies and to help implement improvements in systems and procedures to improve these in the SAP system
  • Help to facilitate the improvement of the material store areas
  • Frequently sample weight components and enter the weight into the material master data in SAP
  • Will safely operate material handling equipment, adhere to company policies, safety standards, good housekeeping practices, must pay significant attention to detail, must be self-motivated, and must be able to function as a member in a team environment
  • Will maintain productivity standards, perform changeovers, use gauges and other tools to perform their own quality inspections and record data into computer programs and systems
  • Will cooperate and communicate with all levels of the department and organization and may be called to work in other areas as needed and will adhere to company policies, safety standards, and maintain high levels of housekeeping per LuK standard

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates will have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Product knowledge
  • Blueprint reading
  • Knowledge of current quality specifications
  • Mechanical aptitude           
  • At least 2 years of experience as an assembler is preferred
  • Communication ability
  • Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
  • Continuous improvement approach
  • Assertive approach to solving problems
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions
