Job Description

Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Manager - Condition Monitoring Service - Industry 4.0 for the Industrial Americas region in Fort Mill, SC. This position is responsible for the development, oversight and profitable growth of Industry 4.0 Applications, through Condition Monitoring technologies and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) system interfaces, with regards to sales, profitability, market data, pricing and quality. Additional responsibilities include facilitation of an associated knowledge management community, oversight of quality management and internal business processes.
 
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Business development, marketing and sales management of Industry 4.0 Applications through Condition Monitoring technologies (Vibration, Thermography, Lubrication, Motor & Current Signature Analysis, Ultrasonic and Acoustic Emission Testing)
  • Conduct assessments to assess maintenance and reliability practices in plants or fleets
  • Design and implement world-class condition monitoring programs
  • Support the sales team in product technical assistance and conduct training.
  • Responsible for service product line management and service agreement project management
  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence; actively participate in strategic planning
  • Work according to total quality management principles, ensuring zero defect objectives & safety, customer satisfaction and reaching the agreed key performance indicators

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates will have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related field of study
  • Ten (10) years’ experience on machine application, maintenance & engineering, reliability engineering and condition monitoring of machines
  • Familiarity with factory automation systems strongly preferred.
  • Significant experience with business development, service contracts, industrial distribution and direct end-user sales channels.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientation.
  • Experience with business process mapping, problem solving, continuous improvement and lean management principles preferred.
  • Relentless results focus; tactical achiever, strategic thinker.
